Special Right Triangles and Trig Ratios

This week the 7th graders worked with the two special right triangles (30-60-90 and 45-45-90) and the trigonometric ratios in a right triangle. Ask your student to share with you what the three trigonometric ratios are (sine, cosine and tangent) and what sides are included in their ratios. Next week, we are going continue using the trigonometric ratios to find missing angles and side lengths in triangles. At the end of the week we are going to start studying for the unit test which is on Monday, April 25. Please remind and help your student study for the test throughout next week to ensure that they will be successful on the test.
